Our licensed registered nurses and licensed practical nurses provide professional care in the client’s home. A nurse assesses the client’s needs, follows the service plan, documents the care provided, and reports changes to the care team or physician.
Specific tasks we perform
What this service can include
- Assess nursing needs and monitor changes in the client’s condition.
- Check and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and oxygen level.
- Administer prescribed oral, eye, and topical medications as ordered.
- Clean, dress, and monitor wounds according to the care order.
- Give prescribed injections and provide infusion care when ordered and within the nurse’s legal scope.
- Provide ordered care for catheters, ostomy appliances, and nebulizers.
- Report the client’s progress or problems to the supervisor or physician.
Important scope note
Licensed nurses provide only services allowed by Georgia law, their professional license, applicable care orders, and the client’s service plan. This service does not include physical, occupational, or speech therapy.
